Richard Taunton’s Sixth Form College is seeking a dedicated and skilled Communication Support Worker (Visual Impairment) to support our Post-16 learners in accessing education, developing independence, and achieving their full potential.
This is a part-time term time contract, working 35 hours a week, 37 weeks a year. Starting September 2026.
The salary for this role will be paid a Support Staff Spine Point 26 - £28,632 FTE, £22,084 actual salary
This role is essential in enabling students with visual impairments to engage fully in learning and wider college life through specialist communication strategies, adapted materials, and tailored support.
You will work closely with teaching staff, external agencies, and support teams to deliver inclusive, high-quality support that promotes confidence, independence, and progression.
An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.
