Are you passionate about inclusive education and ready to take a leadership role in supporting learners with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? We are expanding our Additional Learning Support services as part of a trust-wide commitment to increase our inclusive offer for students. As the Specialist Learning Support Manager, you will have a pivotal role in a new specialist team dedicated to supporting students with specific learning differences (such as dyslexia, autism, ADHD, and moderate learning difficulties) across St Vincent College and Richard Taunton Sixth Form College. This is a newly restructured role offering you the chance to lead and innovate in how we deliver support, shaping our provision to ensure every learner can thrive.
About the Role
In this hands-on leadership position, you will oversee specialist support services and drive quality improvements to enhance student outcomes. Your mission: to ensure that every student with additional needs gets the tailored support they require to succeed, and that our specialist support team operates efficiently, creatively, and in unison with our inclusive values.

You’ll also play a key part in recruitment, staff training, and maintaining high standards within a collaborative, inclusive environment.
In this diverse role, you’ll assess learners’ needs, create personalized plans, and deliver targeted interventions—such as one-on-one teaching or exam access arrangements. By coaching colleagues, sharing best practices, and monitoring student progress, you’ll make a direct difference in students’ academic journeys.
