An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Students and Learning Services team as a Student Support & Welfare Officer. The successful candidate will play a key role in encouraging students to develop positive learning habits and monitoring student welfare and safety across the College site.   Our ideal candidate will have the ability to build rapport with people in and around the College community and inspire students to reach their full potential.  The successful candidate will be required to work 15 hours (2 days, Monday and Tuesday 8.00am to 4.00pm) on a *term time basis plus one week to be worked in August.

*Please note, as a Sixth Form College, our term dates are different to the standard Hampshire County Council dates which effects the start and finish of our summer holiday period.  Our summer holidays start earlier than other primary and secondary schools in Southampton/Hampshire and our term time only staff are required to return to work for the start of the Autumn term earlier than schools.  For example, in this particular post, our staff started their summer holiday effective from Monday 13th July 2020 and they are required to return on Monday 17th August 2020.  Please ensure that you are able to work these dates prior to applying for the role.  Most other College holidays align with Schools including Christmas, Easter and the half term breaks.

All successful candidates will be required to complete an enhanced DBS disclosure.
