Teacher of Access to HE

Up to 10 teaching hours per week

This is a permanent contract due to start in September 2025

Salary: Sixth Form College Pay Spine Point 1-9 dependent on experience

We have a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Social Sciences Teacher to join our Access to HE team and are seeking a specialist in Sociology, Psychology, Criminology, and Academic Skills to contribute to the delivery of our Access programme.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing effective, engaging course delivery to ensure all our students make excellent progress and are well prepared for higher education.

Applications are warmly welcomed from ECTs, NQTs, and experienced teachers from Sixth Form Colleges, Schools, and FE Colleges.

Candidates should have:

Strong subject knowledge across the Social Sciences

Excellent classroom management skills

A commitment to high-quality teaching and student success

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering engaging and well-structured lessons across the core content the qualification

• Designing and marking formative and summative assessments

• Supporting individual student progress through academic and personal guidance

• Preparing students for successful industry placements by developing their workplace readiness

• Ensuring all work meets internal and external quality assurance and compliance standards

All successful candidates will be required to complete an enhanced DBS disclosure.
