MUSIC TEACHER

Permanent, full-time post from September 2024

1 FTE contract for 25 hours of teaching per week

Salary: Teacher pay scale point 1-9 (Depending on experience)

The successful candidate would need to be suitably qualified or experienced to teach BTEC Level 2 and Level 3 Music Performance and Technology courses. An ability to contribute to the extensive enrichment activity that is offered in the department would be welcomed. A PGCE or other teaching qualification is essential.

St Vincent College has a thriving music programme which is an integral part of a friendly and supportive Professional Mode within the collect, and an extensive range of enrichment. As a college, we deliver outstanding teaching and learning to achieve the best outcomes possible for our learners. We focus on instilling excellent subject knowledge underpinned by independent rehearsal, regular group and independent performances, that provide relevant work-related experience. Personalised target setting whilst working to clear communicated assessment objectives is integral. There is a dedicated, well-resourced Mac suite, rehearsal, recording and group performance spaces that provide an open access resource by all music students in the department.
