St Vincent College is seeking highly motivated, passionate, and experienced Tutors to join our bank/casual staff team. The successful candidates will be key in delivering non-accredited courses to students within the local community. We are currently recruiting Tutors to deliver community learning classes for Cookery, Tai Chi, Zumba, Pilates, Insights Book Circle, practical parenting, ESOL, Carpentry and a range of Special Education classes for adults.

We aim for our community learning courses to embrace diversity, prioritise individual needs, and foster a strong sense of community and learning. The community learning sessions support students to gain valuable skills and knowledge and promote overall health and wellbeing.

Essential requirements for Tutors:

  • Be able to prepare, plan and deliver quality teaching and learning.
  • In-depth knowledge / qualification in relevant subject area teaching.
  • Teaching qualification (minimum of Level 3 Award in Education and Training or working towards qualification).
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to tailor teaching methods to diverse learning styles.
  • Familiarity with community learning principles and adult education.
  • Flexibility to work as part of a bank/casual staff team.
  • Commitment to the values and mission of The Lighthouse Learning Trust.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and informative sessions for a non-accredited courses.
  • Motivate and inspire students within our community through your passion for teaching and learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and community partners to ensure a cohesive learning experience.
  • Develop and deliver community-focused courses that are comprehensive and person-centered.
  • Craft a curriculum that places a strong emphasis on health, wellbeing, and building community connections.
